Seguros Múltiples grants donation to Asociación de Alzheimer

Members of the Board of Directors of The Alzheimer & Related
Deceases Association of Puerto Rico accept the donation awarded by
the Board of Cooperativa de Seguros Múltiples from members of the
Public Relations Committee.

Cooperativa de Seguros Múltiples de Puerto Rico (CSM) recently gave a fourth  donation to the Asociación de Alzheimer y Desórdenes Relacionados de Puerto Rico, which in this instance totaled $5,000.00.  Juan A. Salgado, President of the Association, accepted the donation from the President of the Board of Directors of CSM, Raúl Carrero Crespo and other members of this board, during a ceremony held at the offices of the Board of Directors of  Seguros Múltiples.

“With this donation our institution reiterates its commitment to the health and quality of life of our people and to the scientific research performed by those who assist our sick people under difficult conditions,” expressed Carrero Crespo. “For several years we have known the praiseworthy work that the Asociación de Alzheimer is doing with Puerto Rican patients, and especially, with their family members and others.”

In the last three years, Cooperativa has made donations totaling $30.000.00 to the institution.   Alzheimer is a neurodegenerative disorder that is clinically characterized by progressive cognitive insufficiency. Normally it begins at older ages, in general after people reach 60 years of age, although currently this disease has been recognized in  younger  patients who have a family history of this disease.
