at Seguros Múltiples

René A. Campos Carbonell, President of Cooperativa de Seguros Múltiples de Puerto Rico, announced that Roberto Castro Hiraldo has been named Executive Vice-president of the company.

“It is with enormous pleasure that I announce this promotion which will be very beneficial for our company”, said Campos Carbonell.  "Counselor Castro Hiraldo has knowledge, experience, a strong professional background and is highly regarded within the insurance industry and the cooperative movement.  He has profound knowledge of this company and the desire to continue contributing with his talent and professional expertise, all of which is a source of jubilation for the Board of Directors, management and all those who labor in partnership with him.

Roberto Castro Hiraldo, Esq. began working in the Accounting Department of Seguros Múltiples in 1972. Later, he became an adjuster and supervisor in the Claims Department.  In 1986, after becoming an attorney, he was transferred to the Legal Division, developing an excellent practice before the administrative agencies, especially with the Insurance Commissioner’s Office and in the corporate area.  At the beginning of the ‘90’s, he was named Legal Advisor and Executive Secretary and member of the Planning Committee where corporate strategies are designed.

He has Accounting and Management Bachelor’s degrees from Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, a Juris Doctor Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico and he is a PhD candidate at   Universidad Complutense de Madrid.   He has been a lecturer and researcher of management themes, cooperative and fiduciary responsibility and of the right to privacy”.

“This enterprise has strengthened me and allowed me to grow as a professional throughout the years”, said Counselor Castro.  In this crucial stage of CSM’s development and expansion, it is a challenge and a great source of satisfaction, of which I am deeply proud”, he added.

In his new functions, Counselor Castro, as Executive Vice-president, will be in charge of the company’s operations and will answer directly to Mr. René A. Campos Carbonell, President of Cooperativa de Seguros Múltiples.
